Golf and sun protection for females - what about males?

Australia has the world’s highest incidence of melanoma.

Harmful UV radiation contributes to 95% of melanomas in the country.

We know Aussie blokes love a round of golf but Australian men aged 40+ are 2.5 times more likely to develop melanoma than women.

Guess what guys? Slip, Slop, Slap, Slide and Seek don’t just apply to the kids. It applies to you on the golf course too.

Dylan Frittelli, our PGA tour professional's switched on have been protecting himself against the Sun!

1. Slip on sun protective clothing like sun sleeves, long trousers, or long-sleeved golf shirts.

2. Slop on sunscreen 20-minutes before going out to the course. Re-apply every 2 hours. Non-greasy and non-slip will protect your grip.

3. Slap on a hat to protect eyes, ears, nose, and neck. A broad-brimmed hat designed for golf is the best.

4. Slide on some cool sunnies.  Australian Standard 2 or above.  Add polarisation to reduce course glare.

5. Seek out shade while waiting to tee. Or carry a golf umbrella.
